Materials created and collected by Cornell concerning H.S. (Smith) Munday (1812-1868), an early Middleton resident, and his son Perry (1846-1926). Perry operated a ferry on the Snake River at a site known as Walter's Ferry.

Two field notebooks and related papers. One notebook contains brief narrative accounts of field trips to areas around Boise, including the Payette and Snake River canyons. Robert Limbert was a participant on some of these expeditions.
Salmon River tunnel project
Collection consists of one bound typescript report prepared for August George Liebmann by Walter Hovey Hill, civil enginer, with a supporting letter by A.J. Wiley, consulting hydraulic engineer. The Salmon-Snake River power project as proposed by Mr. Liebmann would construct a dam on the Salmon River and divert water through a tunnel to the Snake River for the production of hydropower.
